I´m sorry about the poor quality (I cropped it extremely) but I really like this photo... so I want to show you :)
another two berg-cystals, that I wanted to give a try with the green laser, to emphasise the inner structur. This two are vey clear crystals with only minimal enclosures.
There are days when we see lots of Chipmunks in our yard, and days when we feel lucky to have seen just one.
They are extremely territorial so on the days when the yard seems overrun with them, if/when one of them sees another one they are constantly chasing each, charging with tail erect, to shoo the intruder away and claim victory.
SO, it's a rare treat to see two of them relatively close to each other, like these two, eating in peace. Of course that doesn't mean the chasing commenced moments after this shot was taken.

Got a hike in today. Saw mallards, hooded merganser, green-winged teals, and plenty of canada geese.

Some of you may remember a stickpin I made using two landscape agates. I bought those agates over 25 years ago from a well known husband/wife team of gem and mineral dealers. Well, I lost touch with them and have never ever seen the likes of these tabular cut brazilian agates since. They were cut in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. They are polished perfectly flat on both sides, and are thin...about 2-3 mm. thick. They are also calibrated to standard sizes. Welllllllll, I found those people again....and I attended a mineral show on Sunday...just to see them...I told them about the agates and how very much I'd like to acquire some more.......and she produced a box FULL of them.....the SAME old stock! I bought all of them! I'm so thrilled to have them. Some of them are quite striking.
