These are the two highest points of elevation in the Rocky Mountain Range of North America. Mt Elbert (left) at 14,440" and Mt Massive (right) at 14,433'.

These two mountains are not the tallest from their base, not even close. Many people do not realize how high in elevation Colorado is in general. The lowest point in the state is still 3315' above sea level located east along the Colorado-Kansas State line.

The mountain ranges of Colorado all rise from a high elevation base.

Two is better than one. Especially when you know that the horizon is out of reach (Canon EOS 700D).

My dogs, Tessa Black and Miles Brown. They're several years older now, than when I took this photo. But they're still a couple of lovable goofballs. Where would the world be without dogs?

Oh c%@p! It's Macro Monday and none of my other "just white paper" photos have worked out. Where will I find some inspiration?

I did try a lot of experiments with gridded flash and burning paper but (butt?) none of them were to my liking.
