I took this photo in a beautiful Forest near Montreal in Canada
It was taken in Autumn but there was already some snow.
The colors of the leaves were simply breathtaking!

Two Seasons
A poem by Katie Gabrielle
The two seasons
are like a landscape
of powdered snow
decorating the world
just for you to see
Each season is
a new picture
and a brand new
way to look
at life.
We often wonder how different animal species see their world. What this surrealist image represents is that colour is entirely about perception. What we see and agree is green grass, might just as well be red to another creature. Some ancient historians argue, for instance, that in Homer's time the colour "blue" did not exist as we know it. Have a read of this article if you're interested.

These black and white Belted Galloways might see the world in monochrome, or perhaps they see their food source in bright reddish tones like this. This breed of cow comes from southwestern Scotland. It was established as a specific breed in 1921. I assure you the cow on the right does have four legs despite the illusion. You see, we can't always believe what we see!
None of this work involved AI at all! Nor did I use style filters. This is processing from the ground up where RAW files were altered using Capture One software.
Not quite reminiscent of FDR,
we enjoyed discussing worldly events
and perhaps somethings a bit more lighthearted too.
“I could not, at any age,
be content to take my place
by the fireside and simply look on.
Life was meant to be lived.
Curiosity must be kept alive.
One must never, for whatever reason,
turn his back on life.”
- Eleanor Roosevelt
Two bridges by the Clinton Presidential Library, in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The short bridge in the foreground connects to a small island in the Arkansas River. The old rail bridge in the background was built in 1899 and is now used as a pedestrian bridge.
I turn 25 today. Time to see the path I've past, enjoy the present, and look forward to new beginnings.

While walking the Lady Bird Johnson Grove Trail with a view looking up and to the north at nearby coast redwoods in Redwood National Park. While I couldn't capture the entire height of these two nearby redwoods, from base to tree crown, I attempted to capture as much as I could. The idea being that the tree crowns with the skies above would be the focus. The tree itself though would be a leading line looking up into the image. I did though get close enough to the trees so that one could the details in the bark as part of the image captured.
These are the two highest points of elevation in the Rocky Mountain Range of North America. Mt Elbert (left) at 14,440" and Mt Massive (right) at 14,433'.
These two mountains are not the tallest from their base, not even close. Many people do not realize how high in elevation Colorado is in general. The lowest point in the state is still 3315' above sea level located east along the Colorado-Kansas State line.
The mountain ranges of Colorado all rise from a high elevation base.
