Read the title in Woody's voice, and you've got for one hell of a movie :)

Who's looking forward to seeing Toy Story 4? I can't wait to learn more about Duke Kaboom's character.

You can never have enough Boba Fett.

Fire effect was created with a flashlight, red gel, and crumpled up clear plastic bag.

I'm not sure how I feel about the character Saw Gerrera. His appearance in Rogue One was a low point in the movie, but possibly because there wasn't more back story given. Or, maybe it's just because the character was as uber dickhead in Star Wars Rebels.

I dunno.

Regardless, I wanted to take a stab at a photo with him, and since there is no official Saw Gerrera minifig, I slapped together my own. What you are seeing here is part Space Miner, part Unkar Thug, and Part Mr T without his signature mowhawk.

Best I could do with what I had. What do you think?

Can't wait to find out what happens between Phasma and Finn in The Last Jedi. I want to see Phasma redeem herself from The Force Awakens, but I also want to see Finn pummel her into pulp.

Happy Eclipse Day! Don't burn your eyes out!

Another scene from The Last Jedi trailer. Counting down the days.

Star-field effect was created using the peppers ghost effect.

Started cracking open the new LEGO Star Wars sets, and I'm loving them so far. Going to get a ton of photographic-mileage out of this Battle on Scarif set.

Can't wait to start building more of them.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

Took a page out of Captain Jack's playbook today with a spontanious trip to the beach with the family.

Needed a break from the stress of job hunting, and some fresh air and sand did the trick.

The temp was 55 degrees, which made social distancing easy as we were the only ones out.

Thanks for the inspiration, Jack. Tomorrow, it's back to the grind.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Used a LED lightsaber for this shot.

To create the flare, I used a flashlight pointed at my lens with a green gel over it.

Gizmo was not harmed during this photo, nor was he amused.

I'm pretty sure it's Luke who says that line in The Last Jedi trailer, but it still makes for a fitting title for the photo. Can't wait for more Kylo Ren freakouts this December.

2 days until The Last Jedi. Initial reviews are positive, so my hopes are way up. Just need to get out of work on time to make it to the theater.

This was a tricky shot to get right, especially since I hate working with water. I used three lights plus a flash. One blue light was pointed at a black backdrop, another light with a blue gel was used as a hairlight, the third light was focused on the lightsaber to make it glow as much as possible.

I used the flash to capture the water spray which took a bunch of tries. I was using an iron to spray the water, which may have not been the best choice - but it was all I had on hand.

In Lightroom I added some radial adjustments to the lightsaber to give it a bit more oomph.

What do you think? Thanks, and may the Force be with you.

Pretty excited for the Ninjago Movie. I know nothing about Ninjago, but I absolutely love the minifigs and sets that have come out for the movie. Trying to resist grabbing them all, but I know it's futile to resist.

One of the best Han Solo moments...

I wasn't fortunate enough to get the Detention Block Escape set that was sold at Celebration, so I built my own thanks to the instructions that were posted on-line.

It's 99% the same, though I had to take some liberties due to the bricks I had available. I'm also one brick short, but hopefully I can fix that soon.

May the 4th be with you

Finally got my hands on a Lor San Tekka minifig. Though he's only in The Force Awakens for a few moments, I have a handful of shots lined up for him.

Grabbed a bunch of Star Wars Rebels Minifigs recently. Lets see what kind of fun we can have with them, shall we ;)

Sabine does like to make things go boom. Such a great character, that I hope we get to see again in the future.

This was a fun one to put together. The idea evolved a few times while I was shooting, starrting with a couple of stormtroopers and ending up with K-2SO.

I thought it would have been funny to have big K2 shooting the smaller K2 who was shooting something else, but I couldn't quite fit it in the frame the way I wanted. May try that concept again at some point though.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day

Absolutely love the Death Trooper design. Hope these guys are every bit as menacing as they look. Hype is through the roof, bring on December 16th already!

Another scene I've been wanting to shoot for a long time. Up until reccently, sparklers were illegal in NJ, but thankfully this year, the ban was lifted just prior to July 4th. Needless to say, I stocked up.

The wall on the left was a simple build, but a pain in the ass to keep upright. In the background was the Detention Block Escape set, and everything was placed on top of an iPad to get a nice reflective floor.

Then it was just a matter of lighting a sparkler and sticking it in the dorrway between the two walls (where Kylo Ren was freaking out after finding out Rey had escape... sorry, spoilers!)

A fun shot to put together and shoot... finally...

Was going to save this for Easter, but... well... here it is. Really wish I had the Bunny Suit minifig for a shot like this.

Tried to shoo this with Poe's X-wing and the BB-8 minifigure, but wasn't happy with how it was looking. I ended up building my own X-wing (at least part of one) and using the BB-8 flashlight figure. Counting down the days until The Last Jedi... can't wait!

When style choices go bad.

Figure: Sentinel Miles Morales

Lights: Ulanzi

Eager for the return of Star Wars Rebels for it's final, few episodes. I've grown quite attached to these characters, though like Rogue One, their fates have been sealed from the start. How will it all end up for this band of rebels? We'll all soon know in a few weeks.

As a kid, I always imagined this epic battle between a Tron and Darth Vader. How could would a Tron / Star Wars crossover be? Who do you think would win between a Lightsaber and Identify Disc?

Been in a bit of a rut with my photos lately, so trying something a little different with this shot.

One of my favorite tricks is to gel my lens instead of my lights, which is exactly what I did here. I used two flashlights behind the figure for rim lights, and a flash overhead.

After the flash fired, I placed ared gel in front of my lens for the remainder of the exposure. I wasn't entirely sure what I was going for when shooting, but I'm pleased with the results.

Thanks for looking & have a great day.

Couldn't resist this Up/Star Wars mashup. And yes, that is the canopy from the original, Kenner Millenium Falcon.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

Mando vs Moff.

Beast Kingdom vs Hasbro Black Series.

I had been wanting to put together this shot for a while, just need to build the scenery. Everything done with in camera effects. Bonus points to anyone who can guess what the furnace is :)

After that air assault setup I decided to take it easy. This was a real simple shot with some black crayon on paper for the background and a mini LEGO wall built next to Finn.

Oh, I swapped Han Solo's head onto his body from a Hoth set.

Watched the first episode of The Freemaker Adventures, and enjoyed it. It's a fun, lighthearted kid's take on the Star Wars universe following a family who are making a living (or at least trying to) as scavengers.

The first episode has intriqued me enough to stick with it, so lets see how things go.

This shot was a quick and simple setup. I made a quick backdrop out of some grey bricks, as well as a pedestal out of round black tiles.

The biggest bit of effort was building Rowan (on the right) on a hinge so I could lean him towards the pedestal (he's got short, not bendy legs).

The background was lit with a flashlight and a blue gel, while the foreground was lit by aiming a flishing directly at the tip of the sabre.

If you look closely, it created some small, but neat light rays when it reflected (refracted) off the clear blue stud.

Some simple touch up and cropping in Lightroom and that was it.

Managed to do it all during my lunch break :)

If you haven't checked the show out yet, give it a whirl.

If you have already, what did you think? No spoilers please, I'm only one episode in so far.

Awesome new Wall-E figure from Mattel.

Super psyched to get my hands on a few of the minifigures from the upcoming LEGO Movie 2 sets. I'm really looking forward to picking these sets up when they are released in the new year, as well as seeing the movie.

For this build, I tried to mimic the scene from the trailer as close as possible. Wild Style and Emmet are looking down from a giant "S" (Think HOLLYWOOD sign). This was fun to put together, and I LOVE the new Wild Style look.

Anybody looking forward to the sets/film?

One of the most classic Indiana Jones lines. Sure, in Raiders Indy utters this zinger before descending into the Well of Souls, but I thought this setup would be more fun.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

Cinderella Castle was completed in July 1971, after about 18 months of construction.

Feels like this photo took me just as long to get right, and I'm still not even sure I did that.

Love that expression on Yondu's face :)

Used a red and green laser pointer to get the flare in this shot. Worked out pretty well, though I nearly blinded myself in the process.

The throne room scene from The Last Jedi remains my favorite part of the entire film. Snoke, Rey & Kylo... it's just overflowing with awesome. I have issues with The Last Jedi, but this scene alone redeems the movie for me. Gives me goosebumps...
