The first turtle I've seen in 2009. I went on to see about 30 more today, including a snapping turtle.

A Painted Turtle crawls out of the water in Grenadier Pond, High Park.
She made it safely with a little help. Hopefully it will lay some eggs.
the owner takes it for walks in the park in the summer. It is unclear if the turtle gets it. Does the turtle know that it will go back to its enclosure or does it think that it is being set free just to be recaptured and heart broken few minutes later.
