Tugboat ‘Mary’ - An all plastic clockwork powered scale model of a Thames Tug
The hull, deck and bulwarks are moulded exactly to shape and a powerful miniature clockwork motor supplies the motive power. All accessories, such as deckhouses, ventilators, bridge controls, Lifebelts , etc., are true-to-scale…
Sold under the FROG and Penguin brand names (Lines Brothers ie Tri-ang etc) as an assembled model in 1939 and then as a kit of parts post WW2.
These models are nearly all prone to distortion to the deck and superstructure Approx - 18cm / 7” long
This particular example appears to have been assembled from a kit. The successor was Tugboat ‘Annie’ an altogether more robust clockwork toy boat and later still Tugboat ‘Dawn’

'Tugger, the Chess Playing Cat' On Black
No, our cat Tugger doesn't actually play chess, but I happened to catch him near our chess set one day and snapped this picture.
RIP, my sweet kitty Tugger (January 1991 - June 9, 2006)
