Most of the church is 14th century, but with many Roman bricks re-used in this church and evidence of 11th century work, the church is certain to be of pre-Conquest origin.

She had been floating in the water for ages, pulled out away from her life by the undercurrents. In the middle of nothing, she felt alone and confused. Then, carried by a wind current, a dragonfly fluttered on her cheek and landed there. He was lost too, and they needed each other to find their way back.
Original - watercolor, graphite on paper
The only name I could possibly give this piece is "Trust Me". She looks so open and pleading, but there is also something sinister and creepy about her, too.
I did very few sketches of this centaur, and none of them included the background. The colors and feel were very spontaneous. All that I knew is that I wanted to convey a feeling of coolness, isolation, and desire. The ground looks like something from a dream, and she may be in the fog or in twilight. I didn't know that I was going to surround her with a purple bush and flowers, but once she was drawn, I knew she needed some folliage and wild, flowery, stark bushes seemed to fit the bill.
Would you trust her?

Japan is such a trusting country that they don’t even need workers waiting
at booths to collect money at zoos and such. They will leave out cups of
food and you just put your money in a box. This is something that is done
automatically without thinking of cheating. In America this system would
never work because we don’t hold much trust between people. The picture is
of a feeding station where you can get your feet cleaned by some fish for
300 yen. Without a second tough people would put monjey into the box. I
don’t think t anyone tried to sneak in for free.
a beachfront condo on the beach. i thought the sign in the window was a cool idea. my sign would be: "i'm richer than you."
Nine rustic cottages around a green
A delightful hamlet of nine picturesque cottages laid out around an open green. The hamlet, which is four miles north of the city centre, was built in 1811 to accommodate retired staff from Blaise Castle estate in Henbury.
Designed by John Nash each cottage is unique, this style was later widely copied. The hamlet was one of the first examples of a planned community and there is a stone sundial and water pump on the green which commemorates its construction. The cottages are lived in and therefore entry to the public is to the village green only.
