Trigger was in the mood to pout about something. I think she was pass due to go out - that could make you frown..

My latest photo of Trigger for my family in Thailand. They say the only photos I post are of Trigger and they are about right. Now and then Mama makes it to the main stage...

This image was taken with an X-T3, 16-80mm F/4 lens. The light was one desk lamp facing her as you can see in her eyes. Look large for detail at 80mm!

F/4, 1/8s, 1/3200ISO, full 80mm. Processed with Exposure 5X RAW converter, SOOC except for a small crop.

I need a little attention please....

The title came to me in a dream. As I was waking this morning from my dream Julie (in the dream) was commenting on something that a character in the dream had asked her. Julie's response was, "It's a Trigger Capsule". Weird. Luckily I wrote it down as I awoke.

This image from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope features the spectacular galaxy NGC 2442.

This galaxy was host to a supernova explosion, known as SN2015F, that was created by a white dwarf star. The white dwarf was part of a binary star system and syphoned mass from its companion, eventually becoming too greedy and taking on more than it could handle. This unbalanced the star and triggered runaway nuclear fusion that eventually led to an intensely violent supernova explosion.

SN2015F was spotted in March 2015 in the galaxy named NGC 2442, nicknamed the Meathook Galaxy owing to its extremely asymmetrical and irregular shape. The supernova shone brightly for quite some time and was easily visible from Earth through even a small telescope until later that summer.

Here's a fun little build that I whipped together (might be an understatement) using the same frame as my Lazengann and Gurren Lagann figures. SSSS.Gridman was one of my favorite shows to air last year and was criminally underrated. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you want some robot(?) v. kaiju action with some cool twists throughout!

The two most challenging parts of this build were effectively using my limited collection of light blue bricks and designing the head. The head in particular is the weakest part of the model (IMO) but it's way better than some of its earlier iterations. I may go back sometime in the future and redesign it again. I do quite like how some other parts turned out however, especially the chest, shoulders, and back vents.

Also I decided to throw in Calibur as well just to add some pizzazz to the whole thing. I experimented with building Max so I could have Max Gridman but it proved to be a little bit too ambitious. Maybe I'll do some of the support vehicles in the future, but don't count on it.

The trigger we planned our trip to Shropshire around - a visit to the Shropshire Falconry centre to meet some owls. And we did - 6 types, and we had 4 of them land on our gloved hand. Very exciting - another time it would be nicer to be able to meet outdoors though.

Two bare SB-24's on 1/1, triggered by PocketWizard MiniTT1, combination of multiple exposures. The motionblur was created by using a rig, the exposures with flash were blended in afterwards.

This way the car is lit more evenly and the exposures without movement give the car much more sharpness.

This photo was taken with an FD 50mm f1.4 and FD Bellows mounted to a vintage Canon Rebel XT with a non descript FD-EF adapter. A Canon Speedlite 550EX mounted on the hotshoe triggered an old school slave trigger on a Novatron power pack. The Lily's texture keeps drops in place.

Single Godox V850 at 1/16 power on camera left. Nikon D600 in manual mode, 1/250s at f16. ISO was 400. Triggered with a Godox FT-16s. Post processing done in Capture One 7 Pro.

I had an hour this morning on my way to show the new camera off at Samy's Camera in LA. So, a trip to the studio was in order.

I had arranged to meet a model at the studio. But that didn't work, so plan "B"! I had this peacock feather laying around and with an addition of an over sized drop of water...

The lighting was left over from the shot with my dog, Oliver. I killed the rim light and went with the single flash in the Orb.

The ISO was pushed up to 400 ISO so that the flashes were more efficient at the ƒ/18 setting. ƒ/18 was selected for the added depth of field I wanted when working this close and handheld.

An intense thunderstorm developed over the Sierra Valley on July 2, 2013. This photo was taken from just outside of Satley, California looking towards Loyalton. Equipment used included a Nikon D800 with a Nikon 24-120 f/4 lens @ ISO 125, 1/100 second exposure. I used an MK Controls Lightning Bug shutter trigger, a Really Right Stuff TVC-33 tripod and BH-55 ballhead. This was my first time out with the Lightning Bug trigger, it performed very well.

I had seen a similar picture of a fashion model. The rose used was designed by cloth. Since I did not have the luxury of similar garment, I thought of using a real rose instead.

Though I don't actually like the way the picture has come out ... I am still uploading it here .. at least, I am happy that I tried.
