Hey All!
I would like to formally introduce my new collaborative brand, AKUMA. My husband and I have grouped together to create a brand and our first item is the Oni Mask!
The Oni Mask Includes:
- 10 Color Options
- Two Scripted Versions:
---Menu Version: Click on the eyes to bring up a menu to change the expression (various options)
---Trigger Version: Use a list of local chat commands to temporarily change the expression of the mask. It will automatically default back to the X.X expression after a few seconds.
-Resize Scripting
-Copy Only
The Oni Mask will be available at the LEVEL Event, Opening February 1st!

Tree Trigger-plant
Clever trigger that hits the back of insects for cross pollination.
Well this looks great, but it doesn't seem to have much natural sugar. Oh, well, it's a cheap model.
Lighting: I put it on a mirror because often I like to see the subject and its reflection in the same image. Lit with a pair of Yongnuo strobes on either side. One strobe in a Lastolite 8.6 inch soft box and the other in a 24 inch soft box. The strobes were triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N trigger.
Other strobe lit plants that I've attempted to photograph are in my Strobe Lit Plants Album.

I'm not much of a fan of Valentine's day, so this is the nearest you'll get to a love-themed photo.
And it's not often you get to eat your photographic subjects, at least, for me it's not because as you may have realised I mostly take self portraits...
Anyway... om nom nom.
And this one's dedicated to Miss Embe, obviously. She's great.
Yup.
I know you'd love to:

With nearly as much star power as his owner, Roy Rogers, Trigger was arguably the most famous horse in show business. The palomino was originally named Golden Cloud, but his name was changed because he was “quick on the trigger.” He boasted an impressive repertoire of more than 100 tricks.
For Macro Mondays "Reflection". Since I didn't have an appropriate mirror available, I taped a piece of mylar behind the backyard hummingbird feeder and set up the camera with a 60mm macro lens. So the reflection of the hummingbird, though not crystal clear, is definitely there.
Last evening’s moon, Mercury and Pleiades conjunction imaged after sunset. Mercury and the main stars in the Pleiades have been highlighted for visibility.

Made as a more humanoid gang member. The chest was painted by Modalt Masks. Unfortunately we couldn't get the metal color to match as close as I wanted.

"Pollination is achieved through the use of the sensitive "trigger", which comprises the male and female reproductive organs fused into a floral column that snaps forward quickly in response to touch, harmlessly covering the insect in pollen. Most of the approximately 300 species are only found in Australia." Wikipedia

Physarum polycephalum, literally the "many-headed slime", is a slime mold that inhabits shady, cool, moist areas, such as decaying leaves and logs. Like slime molds in general, it is sensitive to light; in particular, light can repel the slime mold and be a factor in triggering spore growth.
Of all the hundreds of photos I have posted, this wee little Green Tree Python wins the award for most triggering of intense emotions in its viewers. You seem to either love or hate this one.
In reality, this little snake at the Toronto Zoo is quite harmless, but who am I to tell you your creep-outedness is wrong. I'm not judging... You may notice that I don't take very many shots of spiders.
