Try to count the triangles in here...

The atrium of the "Prism" building of the DekaBank in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Glass, steel, concrete, water and daylight are the essential elements of this modern piece of architecture.
The big water basin is part of an ecological climate concept: In summertime, the building is cooled almost exclusively by air circulation over the water and therefore without extensive consumption of electrical energy.
From a triangle of light blue elephant hide.
Seeing this design folded by Barath reminds me I never tried to fold closed-back triangle twists on one side and open-back triangle ones on the reverse.
So here it is.
This side closed-back twists are to see ; 1/3 of them are conter-rotated.

This quilt is about 41" x 41.5" and was made from 6 fat eights of fabrics provided by Riley Blake Fabrics as a Modern Quilt Guild challenge. My challenge was to make a baby size quilt so I added lots of Kona White. The triangles are improv pieced. The back has improv pieces pieced with Kona Charcoal.
The Summer Triangle is made-up of the stars Vega, Deneb, and Altair. This image is a stack of 18 exp. of 3 mins. each. I used my Canon XTmodified with a Sigma 24-60mm lens set @24mm. I took the picture at my cottage in Northern Michigan.
Photo taken at the Jacksonville, Florida, International Airport. This is part of a giant ceiling mobile. I've enhanced the colors quite a bit. JAX is a vibrant little airport with lots of art & music throughout!

The assignment for this fortnight in Studio 26 is triangles in composition. Part of that is analysis of photos we've already taken, or take for the assignment.
The original post for each of these assessments is linked in the comments, with all photos also in the set.
Pattern: Shetland Triangle Shawl by Evelyn C. Clark in Wrap Style
Yarn: 2 skeins of Hand Maiden Silk Maiden in the Lily Pond colorway
(I ran out of yarn with about a dozen stitches left to bind off, so i purchased Louisa Harding Grace to finish binding off)
This is a great lace pattern. It's very easy to memorize and I think it works out wonderfully for varegated yarns or semisolid yarns. I think I wear this shawl more than any of my other handknits.

Pattern: Shetland Triangle designed by Evelyn A. Clark
Pattern Source: Wrap Style by Pam Allen and Ann Budd
Yarn: Knit Picks Merino Style in Frost, 3 balls.
Needles: US8 Denise needles
The color of the yarn is way off here because I didn't use natural light. Anything other than natural light makes it look way too blue. It is really a beautiful turquoise! This was my first time using blocking wires and they really helped keep things symmetric. However they are really hard to use on the bed. blogged
The Golden Triangle is one of Asia's two main illicit opium-producing areas. It is an area of around 950,000 square kilometres that overlaps the mountains of four countries of Southeast Asia: Myanmar (Burma), Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. (Other interpretations of the Golden Triangle also include a section of Yunnan Province, China.) Along with Afghanistan in the Golden Crescent and Pakistan, it has been one of the most extensive opium-producing areas of Asia and of the world since the 1920s. The Golden Triangle also designates the confluence of the Ruak River and the Mekong river, since the term has been appropriated by the Thai tourist industry to describe the nearby junction of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

This drawing is a way to create a pattern with the geometrical forms. The green background makes the triangles stand out.
Pittsburgh may have it's Golden Triangle, but the Chicago area has one too...=-). The waterway to the left is the Cal-Sag Channel, built 1911-1922. The water in the bottom right is the I&M Canal, and the water in the distance is the Sanitary and Ship Canal. All meet at a point just east of Lemont,IL. The I&M was obsolete at the time the Cal-Sag was built,so that waterway bisected it, What looks like a bit of rock in the lower right is actually the top of a concrete dam built to keep the I&M's water out of the way while the Cal-Sag was being excavated. On the other side of the I&M,the canal has been filled in and the land belongs to a private corporation, the canal begins again in Lemont about 1/2 mile further southwest.
The Golden Triangle separating the counties: Thailand Laos and Myanmar (Burma). Taken from Thailand. To the right is Laos, to the left is Myanmar. If you go far enough in to the distance you will get to China.
No17 // Triangle. An interesting shape i found on the beach whilst walking my way down to the Marina. Went for a shorter exposure on this one as i liked the rather epic clouds.
