The rutile blue apparently really doesn't like to stay where it's put. Or maybe it doesn't play well with royal blue. Given how it behaved here, I think I need to do a lot more experimenting before putting it on the outside of anything.
Type of Graph: Composition of Function above with Absolute Value
Equations: f(x) = abs (1.25x)
F(x) =abs (1.25x) +2.6
F(x) =abs (1.25x) +4.96
Description: I thought this picture was great to represent absolute value. I took this picture with the points of the triangles facing upward (a direction which flatlanders cannot comprehend). I then inverted the picture, and found the equations of the various triangles. I positioned the picture above the x-axis, and proceeded to graph the various equations. This is the result, and I am pleased.
James Cauty invented the postage stamp in 2002 and his contemporary and topical designs with a cutting edge feel have made stamp collecting a very exciting hobby.
It is now quite hip to be a philatelist, more daring than knitting and it could be the next ‘big thing’. Cauty however, insists however that designing and collecting stamps is a gentle and welcome relief from the heady days of rock-antics with the KLF and art do-gooding with the K-Foundation.
today i biked from home, around diamond head and back. my halfway mark/pit stop was triangle park. :)
The Richard E. Linder Center at The University of Cincinnati. My first try at some abstract work. I love the architecture of this building, so I shot some different perspectives.
Law of Prägnanz
The Law states that "of several geometrically possible organizations the one will actually occur which possesses the best, simplest, and most stable shape"
The Penrose triangle illustrated in the picture plays with this idea. The image assumes that the triangle is only 2d, seemingly impossible. As you follow the color and lines around, the color gives the impression of depth, which it has, just impossible to see from this perspective.
a little proof of concept animation i made for a larger video project i'm working on.
