Monument of Omar Khayyam At Naishapur.
He is inventor of Khayyam’s Triangle method for calculating binomial coefficients of degree n which is discussed in his Algebra book. Pascal 600 years later rediscovered this method and modern western mathematicians call the rule Pascal’s Triangle .
A part of his monument by Houshang Seyhoun resembles this invention.

Looking towards the mainline from the apex of the triangle, with transportable buildings for the Woomera Detention Centre being unloaded on the goods siding in the distance. The tracks on the left are Ways & Works sidings, while the track on the right is the old cement siding, which once continued as the branch line into DSTO at Woomera. January 2000.

Seeing this design folded by Barath reminds me I never tried to fold closed-back triangle twists on one side and open-back triangle ones on the reverse.
So here it is.
This side closed-back twists are to see ; 1/3 of them are conter-rotated.
I followed Robert J Lang's instructions "Origami Burrs and Woven Polyhedra" to make several of these models.

Track in the foreground to the left is the remains of the former line to Woomera - with head end power facilities still in tact, while branching off to the bottom right of screen is the maintanence siding, used to store track machines when needed. The triangle is used as required to turn locomotives, mostly when they strike wildlife or have defective air conditioners.

(I ran out of yarn with about a dozen stitches left to bind off, so i purchased Louisa Harding Grace to finish binding off)
This is a great lace pattern. It's very easy to memorize and I think it works out wonderfully for varegated yarns or semisolid yarns. I think I wear this shawl more than any of my other handknits.

The One Roxas Triangle, also known as the One Roxas Triangle Tower 1 or Roxas Triangle Tower One, is a residential condominium skyscraper located in Makati City, Philippines. It is owned by Roxas Land Corp., and was developed by the combined efforts of Ayala Land, Inc., Hongkong Land, Inc. and Bank of the Philippine Islands. It stands at 174.3 metres (571.85 feet), it is currently the 8th-tallest complete building in Makati City, and the 15th tallest complete building in the Philippines (as of July 2009).
One Roxas Triangle is planned to be a 2-tower complex, and the current tower is the 1st tower. Plans to build the second tower was temporarily shelved, and no schedule is released regarding its construction.

The color of the yarn is way off here because I didn't use natural light. Anything other than natural light makes it look way too blue. It is really a beautiful turquoise! This was my first time using blocking wires and they really helped keep things symmetric. However they are really hard to use on the bed. blogged
The Golden Triangle is one of Asia's two main illicit opium-producing areas. It is an area of around 950,000 square kilometres that overlaps the mountains of four countries of Southeast Asia: Myanmar (Burma), Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. (Other interpretations of the Golden Triangle also include a section of Yunnan Province, China.) Along with Afghanistan in the Golden Crescent and Pakistan, it has been one of the most extensive opium-producing areas of Asia and of the world since the 1920s. The Golden Triangle also designates the confluence of the Ruak River and the Mekong river, since the term has been appropriated by the Thai tourist industry to describe the nearby junction of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

Pittsburgh may have it's Golden Triangle, but the Chicago area has one too...=-). The waterway to the left is the Cal-Sag Channel, built 1911-1922. The water in the bottom right is the I&M Canal,and the water in the distance is the Sanitary and Ship Canal. All meet at a point just east of Lemont,IL. The I&M was obsolete at the time the Cal-Sag was built,so that waterway bisected it, What looks like a bit of rock in the lower right is actually the top of a concrete dam built to keep the I&M's water out of the way while the Cal-Sag was being excavated. On the other side of the I&M,the canal has been filled in and the land belongs to a private corporation,the canal begins again in Lemont about 1/2 mile further southwest.
