When I saw this tree in the cactus room, I did a double take. I have never seen nor heard of a cactus tree before now.

This warbler was not flying as fast as usual so we were able to get some shots of him/her.

This is a picture of the trunk, starting at about 4 meters up. There is a rope hanging from one of the lowest branches.

I see an owl's eyes. This was the bottom of a tree trunk and I thought it was pretty neat looking.

We have had so much rain over the last few years that the moss has taken hold on most of the tree trunks in Clyne Gardens. Please Try to view on black as well...it will be worth it!

Just discovered that both of our pear trees in the front yard are covered in holes like this. A big mystery, but I was suspicious. Alas, I think we have one of these - a Yellow-bellied sapsucker. I always thought it was just a Woodpecker. Now I have to figure out if it's going to damage the tree. Yikes.
