When at my parents' house for Christmas, I found the one and only lunchbox I had when I was a kid, now uncool and rusting. Never really needed it (I successfully avoided eating school food in other ways), but I did use it every day at camp one summer.

Interesting tree I found along the Waitomo Walkway

Copper coins embedded in an old treetrunk inparklard and Bolton Abbey, Wharfedale (Yorkshire Dales). Something of a tradition as several children hammering their own pennies where they could find space.

...but not out. Quite a few years ago lightning hit this old maple tree on the outer, north edge of the yard. It is barely attached to the roots but it still lives. Now the branches look like small trees growing along the fallen trunk. We have been going to cut it up for firewood but just never got around to it.
