23/52 for the group 2021 Weekly Alphabet Challenge

This week's theme was: W is for Wrinkles

A visit to the forest on Saturday provided me with a shot of these trees with wrinkled bark.

This tree trunk cross section was lying in Yosemite Valley. A lot of history here.

The unusual markings on this tree trunk caught my eye. Other than rotating and framing it is as taken. No photoshopping necessary... Mother Nature has her own sense of humour:P

I have not seen an Acacia with a trunk with this sort of coloring. Has any body else seen this coloring?
