This tree was behind the caravan at Plehérel-Plage near Cap Fréhel and I took some shots of it with different skies in the back.
Here's the sixth.

Same tree, different shot. Kind of amazing how a dead tree can make a interesting shot. Hope you like it.
This tree has managed to grow in an area of essentially solid rock in Yosemite National Park, and yet at home, in my own back yard, I can't even get some of the trees I planted in fertile soil to grow! I have already had to replace one of the trees two times, after the first two died. Maybe my soil is not so fertile after all, or my trees just aren't good at persevering!
Forced by the strong winds on the Schauinsland summit in the Black Forest the trees have a typical shape.
There are many deciduous trees coming into leaf along the Cape Fear River Trail, thick enough now to spread a welcome shade as the season heats up.
Third of a series of Tree variations. I like this one because it's sharper and a bit less cluttered. Please check them all out and let me know which you like best. Thanks.
This is an old picture that I found. I intended to post it a long time ago but never got around to it. It is a little stream out in the country (the middle of nowhere Kansas actually) that I drove by and turned around and went back to look again. The only thing I did to this was crop it. I hope you enjoy it.

Today we found this tree fort. It was filled with some kids' memories.
There was a net over the initial platform in which you could sleep in.
The entire thing was really nostalgic, made me wish I had never grown up.

Sorrow is knowledge, those that know the most must mourn the deepest, the tree of knowledge is not the tree of life.

This was taken shortly after a very welcome shower…on Farm Rietfontein, near Dordabis.
Hopefully those clouds will come back, soon.
Have a Tree-mendous Tuesday, everyone!
HTMT!
Fallow deer at Knepp Castle this morning. Last time I visited there wasn't a deer in sight. The estate were running 'rutting tours' - I guess they'd herded them together so there was more chance of a show for the tourists. No shortage today though! The structure above them is a viewing platform I think, but it looks like a very romantic tree house from here. The light was lovely and these young bucks were happy to pose for a moment or two.
This tree always fascinates me - it is located at the park in Richmond, Tasmania. I love the way it twists around itself and only seems to touch the ground so lightly at its base.
