Lime tree (Linde) and the Chapel of St. Georg at Ascholding, auch "Schimmelkapelle" genannt. Lies hier warum sie so genannt wird.
This is an old picture that I found. I intended to post it a long time ago but never got around to it. It is a little stream out in the country (the middle of nowhere Kansas actually) that I drove by and turned around and went back to look again. The only thing I did to this was crop it. I hope you enjoy it.
This tree always fascinates me - it is located at the park in Richmond, Tasmania. I love the way it twists around itself and only seems to touch the ground so lightly at its base.
Shot using B+W 090 Infrared Filter (580nm). Shot in nature reserve Waterleidingduinen Netherlands.

Sorrow is knowledge, those that know the most must mourn the deepest, the tree of knowledge is not the tree of life.

There are many deciduous trees coming into leaf along the Cape Fear River Trail, thick enough now to spread a welcome shade as the season heats up.
Whilst the family were tobogganing on the Goodwood estate golf course, my eye was drawn to a tree at the very top of the hill. It struck me that it looked like a love-heart (soppy me!). It was brilliantly contrasted against the winter sky and the snow-laden ground. So took out my trusty old phone for a snap....I wish I'd had my DLSR with me, but hey the best camera is the one you have with you!!
Yesterday was my first time out shooting this month as I've been under the weather with an inner ear infection and vertigo-like symptoms. I even struggled a bit with some dizzy spells while walking along this riverside path in Red Deer, Alberta. I'm improving a bit every day and will hopefully be back to normal soon.
A rather contemplative tree on the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal. It looks like it is pondering some deep and thorny issue.
A couple of the last remaining windswept Totara trees framing a distant trunk on the Banks Peninsula and surrounded by stumps.
The Cypress Tree Tunnel is one of those magical spots I've seen photographed so many times and it was at the top of my bucket list to photograph when I flew out to California. Needless to say Wayward Imagery and I just happened to fly in during the heavy rains and mudslides and almost had to turn around before continuing on to Point Reyes National Seashore with the risk of roads flooding. We MADE IT!!! It was a cloudy day with off and on storms and no beautiful sun rays coming through the trees but still magical in its own quiet way.
"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, Where none intrudes, By the deep sea, And music in its roar: I love not man the less, but nature more." ~ Lord Byron

This was taken shortly after a very welcome shower…on Farm Rietfontein, near Dordabis.
Hopefully those clouds will come back, soon.
Have a Tree-mendous Tuesday, everyone!
HTMT!
Taken at the Cholla Cactus Garden area in Joshua Tree National Park. This place is not a garden. These chollas were not planted in this area, but for some reason, they are amazingly dense in this area. Must be the perfect growing conditions for them.
Although in RL theres almost a foot of snow on the ground here, my SL world is full of Spring! Can't wait until I have it in both worlds!
