The snow seems to give a near 3D effect to this tree located between Curbar Edge and White Edge.

The Jay is a colourful crow that is about the same size as a Jackdaw.

They are mostly a pinkish brown, the underparts being slightly paler. The head has a black and white flecked crown, black moustache and white throat. The white rump contrasts starkly with the black tail. The iris of the eye is a pale blue, the bill is black and the legs are pink-brown. The wings are mostly black with white patches but also have striking blue patches, but close to these wing patches are actually bands of graduated shades of blue

Have a great week everyone.

Rework of an older B&W picture of mine. This one has some color and is more stylized.

On the way to the Lake District we stopped the car, I grabbed the tripod & 70-200mm, jumped out and got these trees with the light behind them just before it changed.

Forests of Lower Silesia near Zielonka village, Zgorzelec County, Poland

Taken at Surprise view near Keswick a few weeks ago. I was hoping to get some more woodland photos that morning however, the midges were just unbearable so I had to make do with one or two shots.

I have walked past this tree many times, but today the light was just right- can you see the face?

-------------

Ich bin schon oft an diesem Baum vorbei spaziert, aber heute war das Licht so dass ich das Gesicht sehen konnte.

Moonah Tea Tree Reserve, Churchill Island, Australia.

Something different. No bokeh today (sometimes I've got to do it). I had to stand in this spot for a while to get the path with no people on (there are some people in the distance though), but every time I tried to get a shot, someone would walk/cycle/skateboard into my shot. Now, if I trying for bokeh people, that would be fine, but instead, I probably looked like I was lost or something just standing there. :)

Happy Thursday! The weekend is in sight! I've looking forward to some quality time with my camera. I haven't picked it up for several weeks, and with the days getting really short, it's hard to find time or the light to get anything worth it. I always seem to be using the same lens recently, which is fine, but I do think I need to take some other lenses out for a spin this weekend. Maybe The Beast (macro lens)... or I might try and see if the garden birds co-operate with my big zoom lenses. We'll see... :)
