Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival is on over two weekends. I visited there last Sunday. Amazing number of people and I barely saw the flowers. I visited again yesterday (on Monday). Very cloudy but quiet and peaceful morning.

"Maretak" is Dutch for mistletoe. Not an expert, but this specific species is probably named Viscum album.
Spotted near Valkenburg, Limburg, while hiking the Pieterpad long distance trail.

This towering, neighborhood tree stands on a vacant lot dwarfing the other trees around it. I often wonder what stories it could tell and how it came to dominate the horizon, defying storms and the sawblade. It has a covering of new leaves now, which gives me hope that my country and our democracy will endure through this time of "Trumpian" darkness.

This tree went down in a summer storm a few years ago. Now it looks like a tree man standing out in our field. Especially in a snow storm like the one we had yesterday.

Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!
The sky was blue and the leaves green intense, but I decided to turn it into my black and white.
* I'm grateful for visit, faves and comments of my photo.
We got walloped with a huge snow storm and a foot of snow a few days ago - even the birds were taking shelter!
Just two trees seemingly on their own sitting on the hillside . I stumbled across these and I just love trees so wanted to grab a capture albeit in the misty rain. This was when we hiked through the mountains in Glencoe.
PS: Away now travelling for the next few days to Phoenix so wont be online much but will try catch up as and when I can my flickr friends.
