Movie of a winning (finalist) project for a treehouse tropical resort to be constructed in resort ares in the Pacific Rim including Hawaii, China and Fiji. Project by Kevin Hinders and Ken McCown, movie by Kevin Hinders.
In this project 8 palms get a head start (per treehouse) then a structure is clamped and hung from the trees. The structure comes with all prefabricated units, yet the pieces are pretty common and flexible, so local materials could substitute. The wood is stock lumber and the roof is corrugated metal. The only custom parts that have no substitute are the kitchen and bathroom units.
September 9, 2019 - I had never heard of the Animal Planet "Treehouse Masters" television show before but this treehouse located on the grounds of Mt. McKinley Princess Lodge was the season finale of season 9 which was filmed the summer of
2017. I arrived at the lodge right before a talk was beginning so I couldn't take any photos of its interior. I was able to briefly go out on the deck which has a view of Denali although it was obscured with clouds today. The episode was shown on the TV's in the hotel rooms.
