A process series. Yes, the treehouse was tilted. It was hard to get it framed without a house and roof in the background.

This chapel on the third floor - a youth group was staying in the treehouse this weekend, helping with repairs, so the chapel was a lot more crowded and cluttered than in other pictures I'd seen online...
The Alnwick Gardens treehouse doesn't look very high from this angle, but those supports go down a long way, and there are bridges between different sections with big drops.
This part is the largest building, with a restaurant in it.
The lava rocks help you climb over the lava tube. The treehouse is built into hardwood trees growing out of the lavatube. ginger, monstera, orchids, olapa, taro, anthuriums, pitcher plants, bromeliads and maile grow along the path
Back stairway in James. [Spraypainted by students as the building is to be demolished to make way for the new science building.]
Unedited mobile phone cam shot of a typical street scene in Amsterdam. Taken with my C905 mobile phone. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
Yesterday I was the Artist in Residency at the 'ABC Treehouse' in the Voetboogstraat 11 for the 'MultiCulti' exhibition again, and even though it was raining most of the time, lots of nice people came by to visit me and the lovely Miss Monyart there again and the cool Miss Marjon a.k.a. 'I amsterdam' took this really cool picture of us, thanks a lot guys&girls, it was fun again :))
I took a short break from the Treehouse and went to the 'ABC Bookstore' to buy some books when I came across this typical Amsterdam scene...tourist buys 'Amsterdam' branded umbrella, uses it for 2 minutes, the wind blows it into his/her face, tourist throws the umbrella into the nearest trash can...I'm sure about 25% of our yearly tourism income stems from these situations...good for the economy, bad for the tourists wallet because they have to keep buying umbrellas, lol ;-D
Because my brain is the size of a peanut and I haven't slept very much lately, I've been telling everybody that yesterday was the last day of the exhibition but of course that's not true, it's going on until the end of the month, October 30 will be the final day, hahaha! We were going to have an open discussion forum about the influence of foreigners living in the best country in the world on the 30st, but because the crazy Skinheads of the English Defence League have announced that they're coming to Amsterdam that day, to show their support for Geert Wilders (who doesn't want them to come), and everybody who disagrees with that has said they'll come as well, to beat some sense into their shaved heads, we're expecting a wicked Saturday with (hopefully not!) violence, street fighting and other unwanted and unnecessary things, the discussion will take place a week later and it's an by Invitation only kinda thing...that's sad and sucks, but what can you do against the stupidity of humans, sigh...
There is a special exhibit of "treehouses" on display at Longwood Gardens. Entitled Nature's Castles, you can read more about it here: www.longwoodgardens.org/NaturesCastlesPress.html
This is a treehouse at Two-Mile Run, outside of Oil City, PA. They have some grand plans to build 30 of these cabins in the trees, although currently it is being spoiled by a lawsuit. They seem positive about it though, and are looking forward to continuing the project.
All the cabins are built with green construction techniques. While I was there, the staff member on duty let me take a tour of the model. Very cool. The cabins are not actually built on the trees, but rather among them.
And since this was built by a minister, he's obviously planted a message for people who come to see the Treehouse...
