We could have stayed in the treehouse, but it was a tad too rustic for us. It looks low, but it was probably 30 - 40 feet off the ground, and the climb was a bit tricky..
Supposed to be one of the biggest treehouses in the world. situated in Alnwick Gardens Alnwick Northumberland...
Yes, it was as dangerous as it looks. Three full levels. The bottom floor was "jail." I spent most of my time there.
My available bricks were getting increasingly bizarre - largely just the medieval village plus a pot half full of wood bricks. But I had the urge to build something really cool, and not a car.
So I did.
I built this between 200 and 2004. It's huge, and (according to my wife), nicer than our house. It was the subject of an award winning book, which you can find on Amazon here: www.amazon.com/Treehouse-Chronicles-Mans-Dream-Aloft/dp/0...
Tree houses are wooden houses built on top the trees. Tree houses have been constructed using eco friendly materals with out even using a single nail using materials like coir mats, bamboo poles, hay straws, live trees (as pillar), etc. Tree houses are modified versions of "Erumadam", usually used by the tribals and hunter to escape from the attacks of wild animals. Please visit www.irisholidays.com if you would like to stay in these Treehouses

Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain, Georgia. This is the girls treehouse, painted pink. The boy's blue treehouse is next to it.
Almost to the top - there were several nice decks on the way up there to stop and enjoy the breeze/view... the tower has bells, but they're made from old oxygen tanks...
A well-built and very comfortable-looking (doubleglazed!) treehouse near my junior school in Don Mills.
