One need not have to go to the city to see works of art. In fact the art of the city mimics the real art that flourishes in our own backyard.
Can you spot the man working amongst the fallen branches? I couldn’t resist grabbing this shot on my phone yesterday whilst out walking with the children and dog.
a hazy brisk day, if you zoom in you can see Toronto very faintly,( close to where the mother and daughter are.)
Wide angle image looking up at a Tree in Gran Canaria. Black and white conversion with a preset in Lightroom.
Outdoor photographers understand the importance of the sky in their images. Each sky is a masterpiece painted daily. Each is unique in color, texture, and shape. The sky in this photo I refer to as a marble texture. The way the clouds swirl around appears like the marble on a countertop, only in 3D. I think the depth of the sky separates it out from our reproductions, what we see in the sky can never be replicated on canvas. Probably the most known sky painting is Starry Night by Van Gough. He did not try to replicate the sky, only provide us with his impression of the sky at night. In this he succeeded.

Last Saturday I passed this special tree and didn't have a camera with me - which happens rarely enough. I photographed it with my phone and think the picture is nevertheless worth showing.
awesome to see people make it outside and enjoy winter sports like this.
the snow is melting fast now and it's messy:)
Silhouetted tall Palm Trees in the historic old town of Malaga in Spain. Taken into the Sun with the Canon 50mm lens with an aperture of f/8.0.
This composite image is an abstract representation of my passion for trees and the beauty of the early morning sunrise. Through the lens of abstract photography, I captured the unique colors of the pre-sunrise sky, using mirror effects to create a mesmerizing composition. The resulting image blends reality and imagination, inviting the viewer to explore the endless possibilities of art and creativity.
I hope you enjoy this unique fusion of nature, abstract art, and photography.
We found this intriguing metal sculpture in a small park along Route 132 on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River.
Sometimes you look at the result of your creation and you fall totally in love with the outcome. That's what happened when I looked at this one.
Info: multiple exposure of 6 shots merged ín camera. I used a tripod but no Photoshop.

Quote Dolly Parton:
"I am not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes, because I know I'm not dumb... and I also know that I'm not blonde."
Multiple exposure of a wonderful yellow tree. No Photoshop, just technique.
On a dark and scary night,
bats take flight and the winds
screech through the tall dark trees.
Walking on the city streets,
lost in the fog where monsters hide,
achew....
Was that a sneeze?
Should you run, run for your life?
Toward the never ending, end of the road
lined with tall dark scary tree's.
Running faster,
the trees begin to blur.
There it is again.
Achew....
Another sneeze.
How fast should you run?,
will you ever reach the streets end?
What is that sound
on the other side of the trees?
Almost there,
do not look around,
even the trees are
listening for the sound.
Achew....
your friend walking with you
lets out another sneeze!
Geeze
Gotchya!
Walking down my path one day,
I found the end of the road.
The hot cement just disappeared
into the grass as it began
to unfold.
What is this beauty, unforeseen.
My walk has lead me
to a place so clean
As I put one foot in
front of the other,
I saw the new path begin.
Now I am on a different road.
I played with an image of a tree I took earlier this year... put two different textures on it... not a masterpiece, but fun to do.
A free standing dead tree is a monument. A testament to a life lived. Withstanding the storms, drought, freezing winds. Flourishing with roots dug into rocky soil where nutrients are scarce. After all this the trunk is still standing straight. Leafless limbs are still angled high, still reaching for a sky whose life giving light falls unmodified on its silent graying bark.
