Watercolor and gold acrylic on linen. Embroidery stitches in silk and cotton. A work in progress....working on a series of these.
This piece is named Indian blanket because that's what it reminds me of.
It was created by taking a photograph of two maples standing side by side, where one lost leaves on one side facing the other tree and same with the other tree. Thus making it look as if one tree was half yellow and half red. when it was actually two trees with only half their leaves on one side each. I then mirrored it several times for this effect. Applied HDR once for a little brightness in the colors.
Medium: Collage on paper
Size: 12"x16"

This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.
If you have any questions about this piece, feel free to send me a message or leave a comment.

This shady looking fellow sits just outside the sleepy town of Lockhart. Smiling every time you drive past him. Be sure to say hi if you see him!

A monochrome shot capturing the serene beauty of the sky as seen through a leafy canopy. The sun softly peeks through dense tree branches at the top, while fluffy clouds float calmly across a shaded sky, evoking a peaceful and contemplative mood.
This is another point of view of the tree in the last post...I loved this alien that was produced here...I think he looks cute and friendly!
Have a magical week ahead, my dear flickerinos!
With love
Nat :)

The natural beauty of Puerto Rico. A magnificent banyan tree, with its intricate network of branches and sprawling roots, takes center stage. The soft sunlight filters through the foliage, creating a breathtaking spectacle as it peeks through the leaves, forming a radiant starburst effect.
The portrait captures the unique charm of the banyan tree, showcasing its grandeur and natural elegance. The sun's warm glow illuminates the intricate details of the tree, casting a gentle play of light and shadows. The ethereal star-shaped sunburst adds a touch of enchantment to the scene, creating a moment of serene beauty in the heart of Puerto Rico's lush landscape.
This photograph is an invitation to appreciate the symbiotic dance between nature and sunlight, where the banyan tree stands as a testament to the island's rich natural heritage. The portrait encapsulates the magical ambiance of Puerto Rico, where every leaf, every branch, and the radiant sun collectively weave a tale of natural splendor.

the story of the dancing tree-
Strasbourg, 1518. In the midst of a blisteringly hot summer, a lone woman begins to dance in the city square. She dances for days without pause or rest, and as she is joined by hundreds of others, the authorities declare an emergency. Musicians will be brought in to play the Devil out of these women.

Traditional Chinese painting, known as “国画 Guo Hua,” was established through calligraphy, which is said to be the highest form of Chinese painting. This traditional form of painting employs a brush dipped in black or colored ink, and unlike Western tradition, oil is not normally used.

The old man of the forest awakes from his Wintry slumber and he's coming for you! (That's the Green Man of European folk-lore not an orangutan which can also be translated as "old man of the forest"). And who-so-ever shall look into his eyes will lose their soul forever! (Again, the Green Man; orangutans not generally being known for their harvesting of souls).
Welcome fellow voyagers. I am your captain for a week-long terror-cruise on the black waters of Lake Evil aboard the bad-ship Oblivion!
On our trip we'll visit some gruesome, yet poignant, Dark Places presented here for your macabre delectation, as foreseen in "The Premonition" video...
Please forgive the silly Garth Marenghi style descriptions in this set, I thought these images would be something he'd appreciate...
