A cluster of trees at the St. Vincent's Hospital near Beaverton, Oregon. I liked the blues the coming night gave in the background.
The dark, round shape in the tree is a wild mother bear sleeping. Her two cubs are jumping around higher up in the tree. Fascinated tourists are standing on the ground below. Sounds peaceful enough? Maybe not. A park ranger told me later that all H--- would have broke loose if a cub had fallen out of the tree. In a flash, the mother bear would come down and commence doing major damage among the visitors. The ranger told me I could have had some great photos if I would have been foolish enough to hang around.
