This is said to be the largest living tree. Its circumference at ground level is 31.3 meters (102.6 feet) and its current height is 83.8 meters (275 feet). It is estimated to weigh over 1,900 tons.
Sequoias are believed to grow only on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada range in California and by girth are the largest of all trees. They can live to over 3,000 years. Hopefully, this specimen may be protected from global warming and the wildfires
The famous Redwoods are more slender but reach greater heights, up to 379 feet. They are found on the coast of Northern California, principally in the Redwood National Park
I managed to get over to the Pond the other day and the trees were looking gorgeous .... the colours stood out more because it had been raining the night before and now was a very dull day.
I really enjoyed my time over there - there were so many lovely areas, so I will be posting a few more ....

I honestly was just messin around with my 55-200mm and i thought of something magical. idk.
Dad's was actually wonderful for once in my life, if i had friends up there, I may not have wanted to come home at all! He even said "it's nice having people around for once, I'm starting to even feel like my old self"
Times like these give me hope. :]

These are some that I took around Easter time, but with all the work I had at university I never got round to going through them - and then later I just forgot. Better late than never.
