My experience with the Sigma 35mm Art was mostly positive, however, it had its moments. The bokeh in this photo is a little busy and somewhat distracting. The other photos in the album with the lens turned out great.
Besides the mass produced First Gear truck, this is one of the few remaining pieces of Trash Taxi's brief run in Michigan in the early 2000s. To my knowledge their residential work was exclusively subscription.

TRASH PEOPLE des Künstlers HA Schult, ausgestellt in Telgte.
Ein paar Infos zu den aus Müll gestalteten Skulpturen, die um die ganze Welt gereist sind und auf den wichtigsten und geschichtsträchtigsten Plätzen gestanden haben.
Eine Übersicht, der Weltreise, die diese Figuren von HA Schult gemacht haben. Bilder der Stationen sind auf der Webseite des Künstlers zu sehen.
1996 in Xanten, im Römischen Amphietheater war die erste Ausstellung und gewissermaßen die Geburtsstunde der Trash People. 1.000 lebensgroße Skulpturen aus Müll sorgten erstmals für Gesprächsstoff.
Später standen die Figuren unter La Grande Arche in La Défense, Paris, auf dem Roten Platz in Moskau, auf der Großen Mauer in China, vor den Pyramiden von Gizeh und im schönsten Salon Europas, auf dem Grand-Place von Brüssel.
Sie versammelten sich in 2.800 m Höhe am Matterhorn sowie in 880 m Tiefe im Salzstock von Gorleben.
Weiterhin standen sie vor Kilkenny Castle in Irland.
Später sah man sie noch vor dem Kölner Dom, im Palais Herberstein in Graz, in Rom auf der Piazza del Popolo, in Barcelona auf dem Plaza Real und in Washington D. C. vor dem National Geographic Museum.
Die Trash People marschierten zum G8 Umweltgipfel in Syrakus und zum Poiesis Festival in Fabriano.
2011 trotzten sie den Winterstürmen im ewigen Eis der Arktis und jetzt sind sie noch bis zum 31. Juli unter dem Motto “Einkehr in Telgte” in der Idylle des Wallfahrtsorts zu sehen.
Die Veranstaltung soll u. a. auf “Probleme des Konsumzeitalters” aufmerksam machen, oder wie HA Schult in Telgte sagte: “Wir produzieren Müll und wir werden zum Müll. Denn jede Coladose von heute ist die römische Scherbe von morgen“! Den letzten Gedanken finde ich nicht uninteressant.
Nach dieser inneren Einkehr in Telgte sollten die People in ein Museum, wo das sein wird, darüber habe ich unterschiedliche Aussagen gefunden.

I set this up on the galley benchtop. An old magazine that I found in the marina laundry, a squashed, empty UHT milk carton, a strip of banana peel rolled up (Guess what I had for breakfast), an old glass jam jar that I washed and filled with found beach junk.
Two of my friends insisted on my photographic services in order to trash their wedding dress. I was happy to abligy them.
