As the title of the image suggests; this is device used to trap bears. Most times the bear is relocated unless it is a "habitual offender" then they are sent to a zoo or dispatched. Commonly referred to as a "culvert" trap. This trap was sitting idle on the Buffalo Ranch in the Lamar Valley. Yellowstone National Park. Taken May, 2011.

Kayaker was trapped underwater against a rock for a very tense 30 seconds. People were already moving to try and rescue him. He got out on his own fortunately, but his boat stayed right where it was. I had to leave before it was extricated.
One of the moths that came into a light trap in the evening at the Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre.
I was stuck at home for a few days a couple weekends again because I was sick with some flu/cold bug. It started on the Friday morning and I'm still not quite 100%. I hated being sick on the weekend and really wanted to go outside to shoot. This is as close as I got to that on the Saturday. :p
Trapped under general social opinion of what a girl should and should not be...this picture is meant to be quite ironic.
