Yes, I have painted another poppy in transition. I never seem to keep these for long, and when I want to show the series, I feel it is not complete without a poppy. Each one is somewhat different, and I always enjoy the wet on wet play of colours on the paper which react differently each time I do it. This is pure fun for me and the final touches with ink satisfy my need to tighten things up a bit.

This is the first time I have tried to do an image showing the transition of blue hour to the night.

One step from light into dark.

Mt Wellington covered in the first big snow fall for the year. We had a relatively warm weekend of sunshine, and now almost all the snow has disappeared. It will return very soon i'm sure.

This was on one of those evenings where I knew I wanted to shoot a coastal scene, but I had to find the right spot where I could fully see the sun set (and take advantage of the few clouds out).

I had to drive a little further north than I had anticipated since it seems like the sun sets a little bit more to the north during this time of year...the things I've learned from this hobby :)

I tried a couple of different spots along the Pacific Coast Highway (it was a race against time) before I found a little pull-out that offered up this view...

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.

As the days march on to winter, I wanted to capture a sign of the transition. This image embodies the transition to me. Setting up this image, I wanted the leaves to represent what is left of Autumn. The clouds quickly moving in to represent the winter. The tree itself is the symbol of the transition, still holding on to autumn but the bleakness of winter taking over. The darkness filled with the blue and gray tones to represent winter. The yellow of the leaves to represent the colors of autumn.
