All the other birds were in their breeding plumage so this beauty stood out from the crowd.

autumn has begun here in wisconsin. cooler temps, changing light, a few leaves on the ground. each transition—even if uncomfortable—creates space for reflection, insight, creativity, and growth.

finally flickr is with workable speed!
was able to catch the sunset again today. i love the wispy appearance of the clouds against the changing colors of the sky.
From blue to red in the rain...but if any American witnessed the Obamas graciously greeting the Trumps at the White House this morning, and did not emotionally react to the wonder of the moment and the remarkable continuity and maturity it expressed with hope as opposed to hate, I would recommend a personal transition in thought as well.
I love photos like this when I frame something in my minds eye and it comes to reality when I get home on the computer. I took my time and waited for the light to be spot on. There was a sweet softness to the image that I was drawn to.
Night to day
Fall to winter
Subalpine forest to alpine tundra
East slope to west slope
Fairweather to stormy weather
A view toward the Continental Divide, with Mount Neva (r) and Jasper (center of the 3 summits on the left) and the valley of the middle fork of Boulder Creek. The first winter storm of the season is showing up in the guise of clouds on the horizon, and within an hour sleet and high winds out of the west would signal the weather change in the higher elevations.
I will be taking advantage of the fall season and my status as a retired person to camp among the aspen trees this week, so will be absent from Flickr.
The transition of the seasons is one of the most beautiful in autumn to winter time. The colours are stunning and the lighting is soft…
This small waterfall is located in a forest area in the Bavarian alps…!Very nice hike with my friend Billy ,discovering a couple more cascades above of this one.
November turns to December, autumn ends and winter approaches.....warm colors turn cold.
Take a deep breath, here comes Christmas!

This is the first time I have tried to do an image showing the transition of blue hour to the night.
