Ever spend far too much time at the computer processing instead of out in the field capturing. This is a case of that very issue. I rid the image of a sign and forgot about the sky that attracted me in the first place. Starting agiain I worked on the sky and forgot to get rid of the sign. Then working on both I accidently killed the image all together.
Finding it in the recycle bin, I rebuilt it and took care of all the processing needed to come to this final photograph. Again, it was the sky that caught my attention after being on a night out and heading home. What a pain, but what a sky.
Near Alamagordo, NM, USA, the Salado Canyon trail follows a section of old railroad. This old train bridge serves as part of the walking path.

Never seen these before. Not sure if they are anti-cow or anti - motor vehicle. On BNSF north of Helena, Montana

LP160 in 24" Ezybox camera left fired with Radio Poppers
Gently set the camera down between the tracks; check the exposure; set focus on infinity; 2 second delay - push button. Oh, and don't forget to look around carefully to make sure there are no trains coming!!
Originally the Chicago,Alton, and St.Louis line. It was on this line that Lincoln's funeral train ran on it's way to Springfield in 1865.
I drive by these tracks every day, I don't know where they go, I'd like to take a walk on them some day.
