Train In Fog...
In october last year i woke up early to find a heavy fog had descended on us. I got my gear together and headed out to get a few shots.
As I was crossing the tracks at Williams Parkway i heard the rumble of the train. i turned and quickly snapped this shot of the train rolling out of the mist.

Fall N Fog......
This morning there was a heavy misty, white fog that settled all over the quiet streets of Brampton. I headed out as soon as the sun came up.ready for an adventure! the nearby fields were thick with the white mist and the low lying areas were completely socked in. As i made my way through the neighbourhood I began taking pictures of what i saw. this shot of the train tracks on the parkway set the mood for most of what i shot today. i will post more later.

..thought we'd stretch our legs by the train, not on the train :)
he (son) was on the train faster than I realized.
not thrilled with original exposure :))
just for fun now...
I just really liked the curve and the steep bank next to the tracks and it's always fun to imagine oneself riding one of the trains that use this track! . :) Have a fantastical kind of day everyone!

.. again my favorite snapshot in a new surroundingđź’•
We crisscrossed this railroad track several times and at one point we saw where the bank was held in place by railroad ties in horizontal position and I couldn't help but wonder what happened when those railroad ties disintegrated....
I will be so much more excited about my photos when the green leaves come back! LOL Tan and grey can get old after awhile I think!
No problem crossing the old abandoned spur line but just before this Mom and Pop led the little ones across 2 tracks on the very busy line running between Toronto and Montreal. A minute or so after this shot was taken a train with over a hundred box cars came roaring down the tracks.
Great place for gravel biking - nice combo of on- and off-road - but a lot of the best stuff is tucked away. Took a fair bit of effort to get here - finding the hole in the fence, hoisting the bike over a barrier and under concertina wire, then down an embankment of broken concrete. But wow, these tracks!
