This 70 year old German man passes the time after work watching trains come and go. As he said, "I don't want to go home to my wife and sit in front of the TV doing nothing".
He is quite the character. Besides his wife, he mentioned a list of other things he doesn't like: cell phones, computers, cameras & poorly maintained tracks. Things he does like: Westerns, free magazines and feeding pigeons.

Think I'm getting a tad sentimental and emotional about what lies ahead.....

On June 8th, 2023, around 18:00 a South bound CSX intermodal (I038-07) came flying down the tracks as it usually does though this time the crew was in for a shock of their lives. A tractor trailer filled with bricks was stuck on the tracks, without anything to do the crew threw it into emergency and thankfully survived by ducking. The trailer was split in half, bricks being flung everywhere including INTO the cab window! If not the quick actions of the crew the conductor would be lost. The driver survived and was later put in handcuffs, though I’m unsure what the charges were for. The trucker had ignored signs about low Clarence and managed to get stuck and would have been charged with manslaughter with a vehicle. Please pay attention!!! 06/08/2023.
Edit: The driver was found with narcotics in the cab.
these are the traintracks right behind my grandparents retirement house in northeastern pennsylvania. i love the way the trees reflect in the rail.

So Fred Meyer's here in tiny north bend, OR has a film center...Eric, the guy who works that department is a G! I drop off film and the film is processed in 15minutes...I'm gonna have fun with 35mm. Glad I have a scanner as well! I still wish I could develop my film myself :( miss those darkroom days.
