Shoo Blue Jay, don't bother me. Said the juvenile Bald Eagle. This Blue Jay made several swipes at this juvenile Bald Eagle.

Grey sky over Cheshire couldn't dull the Autumn colour. Nor could it dampen the spirits of everyone out and about enjoying their favourite countryside pursuits and pastimes along the Trent & Mersey canal.

Sounds like a challenge between boaters in the pub, but this was the Lancaster canal at Bilsborrow, just as the Sun rises on a calm July morning. It was very peaceful :)

People coming and going alongside the Union Canal at Fountainbridge. As well as a nice leisure route for walking or cycling, it also offers a handy route for commuting by foot or bike, away from road traffic. And, of course, that also means a nice spot for me to take some people watching shots!

13th March 2018 - Barges and buildings on the River Lee Navigation Canal, Hackney Wick, London, UK.

Canal towpaths are a good place for daily exercise, no matter what your pace.

The We're Here! group are searching out the forgotten and abandoned, revealing the redundant, and disclosing the disused. Sadly, this towpath is no longer offering a route for walkers.

Wie ein Geschichtsbuch lesen sich die Steine. Hier hinterließ die sowjetische Besatzungsmacht ihre Spuren. Neben Sowjetsternen sind Hakenkreuze und ander Hoheitzeichen vor allem Herzen als Liebesbeweise und alle die sonst etwas sagen wollten und wollen.

As a history book read the stones. This left the Soviet occupying power their tracks. In addition to Soviet stars are swastikas and other emblems especially the heart as tokens of love and all the other wanted to say something and want.

Approaching Wheelock Wharf, nearing the end of my 8 mile walk, and I turn round and reflect on the day.
