Took this picture near Bylakuppe, one of Tibetan settlements in India. The place is in Karnataka.

Bylakuppe consists of a number of agricultural settlements / small camps close to each other, and has a number of monasteries, nunneries and temples in all the major Tibetan Buddhist traditions.

My first alpine walk at 6,000 foot (way higher than I have ever walked in the UK at 4,000 foot!) from the Chlingenstock to the Fronalpstock thanks to my good friend who lives in the shadow of this walk.
