To reach the most scenic old little Pieves, hamlets or castelli one has to approach them over the classic 'Strade Bianche', the unpaved white gravel roads in Tuscany.

Um die meisten kleinen und reizvollen alten Pfarreien, Dörfchen oder Castelli zu erreichen, muss man über die klassischen "Strade Bianche" fahren, die unbefestigten, weissen Schotterstraßen der Toskana.

This picture was taken in early October at the park of Bluehendes Barock, Ludwigsburg, Germany. There are still some flowers left in the parks although Autumn is definitely taking over !

Stream on Black and a Different View on Black

In this part of the U.K., the nearer you get to the coast, the flatter the land becomes. This area of West Lancashire is known for its ideal farming conditions. There are hundreds of market gardens all specialising in various vegetables and fruits. Today we visited Pumpkin Valley near Ormskirk. Standing in the Pumpkin Patch, you can see for miles. Behind me is Formby on the west coast, maybe 7 or so miles. In front of us here we can see the tiny village of Aughton with its church, Christchurch sitting sleepily on the rise of the land some 3 miles away. The clouds by the way were as angry as you see them, laden with squally showers. Yes, we got drenched as we found out. Standing in the middle of a pumpkin patch, there is nowhere to shelter from. But the Autumn colours are well in evident here. Thank you for looking..

I ended up taking quite a few from this location! I had to rush to get a frame of B&W (Delta 100) loaded into the camera, given that a gust of wind started playing with the fog in the valley to the right. All in all, I think this still has something to offer along side the colour versions, so I'm rather pleased I managed to get it in time!

Diversity: the art of thinking independently together.

Malcolm Forbes

When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy

Real cultural diversity results from the interchange of ideas, products, and influences, not from the insular development of a single national style.

Tyler Cowen

Today when I think about diversity, I actually think about the word 'inclusion.' And I think this is a time of great inclusion. It's not men, it's not women alone. Whether it's geographic, it's approach, it's your style, it's your way of learning, the way you want to contribute, it's your age - it is really broad.

Ginni Rometty

We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion.

Max de Pree

What I'm trying to do is get a change in the mindset so people move from a level of mere tolerance to total acceptance and eventually to celebrate diversity. If you feel comfortable with one another, it doesn't matter whether we live in which neighbourhood but we can interact with one another freely. It's a mindset.

Najib Razak

Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who 'get it!' We need judges who understand what discrimination feels like. We need judges who understand what inequality feels like. We need judges who understand the subtleties of unfair treatment and who are willing to call it out when they see it!

Debbie Wasserman Schultz

We need to reject any politics that targets people because of race or religion. This isn't a matter of political correctness. It's a matter of understanding what makes us strong. The world respects us not just for our arsenal; it respects us for our diversity and our openness and the way we respect every faith.

Barack Obama

Right now, when we're hearing so much disturbing and hateful rhetoric, it is so important to remember that our diversity has been - and will always be - our greatest source of strength and pride here in the United States.

Michelle Obama
