An aerial view looking north along Congress Avenue, Austin, from a position above Lady Bird Lake. Several of Austin's iconic buildings are visible here. The tall tower on the left is The Austonian and the mirrored building on the right is the Frost Bank Tower. In the centre is the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas Tower can be seen poking up in the distance just to the right of the Austonian.
This is an experiment in colour and minimal information of the subject
The light here is amazing at times
I need to do more shots to see what I can get in terms of colour and feel of colour
Might be nice to use film as well
Maybe velvia or ektar
I feel drawn to this area I need to find a way to connect with the landscape with film or digital capture so that I can translate what I feel and see into a series of images that might do some justice
To the light
We are all on that yellow brick road. Just remember to walk towards the light and leave the darkness behind.

Today's photo was taken at Hawkesbury Junction near to the Sutton Stop lock. The view is looking over towards Coventry Canal (under the Bridge) from the end of the Oxford Canal.
The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Filterstorm Neue to edit the image. I used the app to apply some Clarity. Then I added the Amatorka filter. Next I used Mextures to add the Darker Days preset by Ryan Olde. I then used the app Painteresque to add a custom version of the Painteresque 2 preset. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tuneup preset, the vibrant FX, a medium dark Vignette. I then added the Canvas texture and the Charcoal frame.

High Speed Shooting Series
Dragonflies are among the fastest flying insects. When diving towards a plant or during other high-speed maneuvers, they can reach speeds of up to 30 miles per hour (approximately 48 kilometers per hour). This incredible speed, combined with their agility, makes them highly effective predators and efficient at evading predators themselves.
Taken from the pier at Saltburn, looking towards Redcar to the north. The beach huts at Saltburn are in heavy shadow.
Just visible in the far distance is the blast furnace of British Steel, Redcar, which was brought down by explosives on 23rd November 2022 in preparation for future regeneration of the site. The landscape will be completely different without it, having dominated the skyline since 1979
