Next time - take the teleconverter off during the totality, dummy. F/4 would have been very, very handy.
I wanted to capture the entire umbral stage in 5 minute intervals. Alas, my 18-200mm Nikkor wasn't really up to the task, particularly while the moon was under greatest eclipse.
I also converted the images into an animated GIF.
Lunar Eclipse that began about 1:38AM Eastern Time on 21 December, 2010.
The first shots aren't bad, but I should have upped the ISO sooner than I did to get the early reds, and should have upped it further and not dropped the shutter speed at all when we hit totality. The photos at totality are blurred some due to the length of exposure.
I put up a few decent shots at the beginning, and then the time-lapse sequence starts.

Dmitri moves almost too fast to capture in the dim smoky atmosphere of the tent.
I got better shots of his mad retro dance skillz at later shows when I was closer to the stage.
