Here's a stupidly simple tool that can be made out of an old spoke or some coat hanger wire. It holds the derailleur tension on the chain while you attach the ends or take links out.

The toolbox in my flat.
That habit of keeping things because they might be handy or can be reused...
A close up of the collet used in the automatic tool changer, and a few of the tools in their docking stations.
This is the progression of steps for this:
1.) I drew a realistic lotus (no subject/example) in pencil and was pleased.
2.) I got bored so I drew darker pencil over-top in what I thought would be cool tattoo swirls and was pleased.
3.) Once again my pleasure faded and was bored. So I erased it all and re-did some lines going for something reminiscent of the band Tool's eyes that are commonly associated with them. Finished with using my new awesome varying-width pens (one is a 007 and is like... beyond fine point ^.^)
4.) After displaying in my cubical for a long time I scanned and retouched it in Photoshop using my graphics pen, layers, and color management.
Final result... I think it looks pretty cool ^.^
