This is the tool room, where I took these series of shots. It’s a pretty small and narrow space, so I couldn’t do anything too elaborate in terms of lighting. I had a hot light that I dragged around with me, mostly aiming it to create long shadows on the tools. For this shot, though, I used the overhead fluorescents.
As you can see, you won’t find just tools in the tool room – but almost anything that needs to be stored indoors. Sometimes things “magically” appear in the room – things that family members don’t want in their space, so it gets deposited here. Then it’s up to me to figure out where to fit it into the already carefully packed tool room.
