Adam, a.k.a. Token

All types of mementos were left on the fences surrounding the WTC site: photos, posters, t-shirts, candles, stuffed animals. By far the largest numbers were flowers, notes and letters. These things were left by family, friends and other visitors to the site.

I adore the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks, for those of you who are unfamiliar with it the movie is a 1970's Disney film that takes place in England. In the film the characters visit the famous Portobello Road. This photograph was taken at Portobello Road during their weekly open-air market on Saturdays. Lockets and other trinkets such as these could be found at every vendor. I love this photograph because of the shallow depth of field and the way the numerous other lockets are blurred in the background and only one is in focus.
