Four-toed salamander (Hemidactylium scutatum). I found this one in a moss overhang in a clear, clean, ice-cold spring in Wisconsin.
I took a photo similar to this during my first 365, but in fuzzy orange toe socks. So, I guess I copycatted myself? ha!

I love how toe nailpolish lasts 100 times as long as finger nailpolish. My fingers have been painted twice (the second time by me), and are now blank, since I had my toes done.
I am aware I have ugly feet.
Toe update 3: Not that anyone gives a total rat's shit but the blackened toenail came off. Now I just have to wait for a new toenail to grow over the ravaged remains of my hairy ass toe.
This young two-toed sloth had lost its parent and was being nurtured at the Jaguar Rescue Center in Playa Chiquita, Costa Rica. The two-toed sloth has two toes on the front pair of paws and three toes on the back pair. The rescue center is a great place, devoted to helping return orphaned or injured animals to the wild.
