Turritella terebra terebra: Indo-Pacific shell from the gulf of Thaiand. Reflection yes ... but which one? The 60 mm spiral shell rests on a front-surfaced mirror. Hint. Which one is a left-handed spiral?

My friend told me I have lovely toes today( Well it was yesterday because I'm uploading it a day late)..I don't particularly know what she meant. I hate feet, and I don't think these short stumpers are an exception, but she said it in such a hilarious way I want to remember it for the rest of my life :L She also laughs at my descriptions on photos. Which is funny...because this photo is about her :P But with my feet? :L Taken 21/6/11

The Pelican hard case for the new camera ("Heath") comes with adjustable foam: tear out sections of foam to fit your equipment. Jesara delighted in pulling off the little strips from the spare blocks of foam. Then she discovered that they are good to put between toes. Maybe she was preparing for a pedicure?

Most squirrels will leap onto the edge of our stone birdbath for a quick sip, but this one decided to stop and stre-e-etch up on tippy toes for a refreshing drink of that water dripping over the edge.

Taken through the window so not as clear as I'd like.

Now that 693 is on the NC side of the line, it's the Toe River that they're following into the Blue Ridge.

Found this salamander hidden in some damp leaves tucked against my house, Yakima County, Washington. I have seen Long-toed Salamanders at a number of high elevation Cascade Mountain Lakes but I'm surprised that one is living here at my home. They need a pond or marsh for reproduction and there is none less than a mile or 2 from my home. IMG_5009

SN/NC: Pelecanus Occidentalis, Pelecanidae Family

Pelecanus is a genus of seabirds commonly called pelicans, and belonging to the Pelecanidae family.

Pelicans are famous for their huge beaks, but they have another distinctive feature: unlike other waterfowl, they have all four webbed toes, just like cormorants and gannets. They eat fish, and most live in the sea. The pelican is the only animal that swallows salt water and turns it into fresh water in its throat for consumption.

Eles comem peixe e a maioria vive no mar.
