Pramoedya Ananta Toer smiles in front of audience during a talk show about "Aceh and the future of Indonesia" in Jakarta on February 6, 2005. Pram, as he is often called, born in Blora in Central Java on Feburuary 6, 1925, was jailed for 14 years without trial by Soeharto's New Order regime due to his links to the literary wing of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI). Pram, whose works have been translated into 20 languages, won the 1995 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Journalism, Literature, and Creative Communication Arts. He rose to prominence after he was nominated several times for the Nobel Prize for Literature. My digital camera's completely dead and my Mamiya's winder is shot, so you'll be getting some diggings from the archives until the situation can be rectified.
Chad's birthday is a wonderful occasion for spending a few days exploring the California coastline [which there's plenty of, it should take the rest of our lives to get to the rest of it].
In 2003, it was down to Cambria and back through Big Sur. We took a brief detour to Morro Bay, home to a large rock [which is actually part of an oddly-aligned inert volcanic system of large rocks].
It also has a rather unique ecological system that's been ravaged by the local industries, and many, many fearless ground squirrels that seemed to think my toes were chunks of bread.
Against a wall in an alley way at Little Five Points. The colors are just so vibrant and awesome. The graffiti over there just makes me happy!

My good friends, Maggie and Louis AKA "Loopy", celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary with a photoshoot! Inman park, historic roswell; fun and awesome greek food was had by all! :D
