Textures thanks to French Kiss and Kerstin Frank.
I have gardens of many flowers, but lilies occupy them the most. I have about 50 different varieties and many that are favorites. But, this one makes me the happiest. It's first day, it bursts forth with such bright colors---oranges, yellows, pinks, purples. As the days go on, it fades to the pale pinks and yellows in this image. The flower in my photostream above this one, is the same lily...only in it's first day of bloom.
A view from the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet , British Columbia, looking out towards Barkley Sound and The Broken Group Islands. This is one of the most amazing trails I have ever experienced!

Spring
I love the spring.
For every day
There's something new
That's come to stay.
Another bud
Another bird
Another blade
The sun has stirred.
... as the Christmas carol goes! Shot earlier in December when we were snowed in for quite a while ... and given the Vinci oil paint treatment. The snow is back again, but we did manage a 'green' Christmas in between the white-outs! Hope that you are enjoying the festive holiday. Here in Scotland it mainly lasts another week, as there is Hogmanay still to come. So Wednesday January 3rd is when 'normal' returns ;o)
Happy Festive Fence Friday!!

This picture was taken at an autumnal evening at my favorite viewpoint at the northern edge of town of Freising. We can take a look over Weihenstephan and Munich behind to the bavarian alps.
Summer begins tomorrow and in celebration, we will have the most daylight of all the days of the year. Well, weather permitting. This has been the rainiest spring in my memory. Even the ducks are whispering – enough already!
Autumn Moments no 7 - red berries
Autumn is not only the flaming red leaves of maples and acers, it is also packed with bright red berries. We have a rowan tree, cotoneaster hedges, climbing firethorn, and a huge bed of wild roses - so the garden is an impressionistic painting with dabs of bright red everywhere. It seemed like a good good way to round off my "7 days of autumn" ;o)

This is the actual color of the sky when the sun set last night, no post processing. (Except for the fact the texture here is "natural screen" which I shot this through, LOL!--thanks AJL)
