the working side tipping (a.k.a. "skip" wagons) are very useful for moving ballast, rubble, soil etc. and redepositing them elsewhere!

the wagons are standard Ride-on-Railways items with the older type 3" diameter wheelsets, regauged from 5" down to my 3 3/4" gauge, which enhances the "narrow gauge" look of my railway.

Is this just a mess?

I'm working on some stuff for a show on reclaimed materials- these are the leftover tips from when I make my pencil jewelry- it is in progress, but I am having my doubts.

It is small-ish, only about 8 x 11 x 1/2 inches.

Should i frame it somehow, maybe with "dots"?

The edges are rough, I intend to smooth them out, and sand the surface, and finish it with poly.

Make Citrus Fruits Even Juicier

To get the most juice out of a lemon, refrigerate then microwave it for 15 to 20 seconds. Bonus tips: Roll citrus fruits before squeezing, cut them lengthwise, and/or use a pair of tongs to squeeze instead of your own two hands.

Study Tip: Narrow it Down

If you try to study every single thing your teacher's ever said, you'll go crazy. Instead, focus on the most important topics. If you're not sure what those are, read the study guide (if there is one), or ask your classmates. #study

Moose Tips: Moose kill more people than bears do. Give them plenty of room. DO NOT APPROACH THEM. moose like a lot of "personal space." Control dogs. If Lassie barks and runs toward a moose, the moose is going to defend itself. A frightened dog will run back to you for protection, and you will find yourself between your pet and 1,000 pounds of irate moose. If the moose puts down its head and lowers its ears and the hair on its back and neck go up, it's time to look for something big to get behind. If a moose chases you, you can run around a tree faster than a moose can. If a moose knocks you down, curl up in a ball, protect your head with your arms, and lie still. Don't try to move until the moose moves a safe distance away, or it may renew its attack.

The Road To A Healthier Complexion Starts With These Expert Skin Care Tips

Even the most health-conscious people often neglect their skin. Your skin is a living organ, and it needs nutrients, care, and professional dermatology care. Fortunately, what is good for the rest of your body is usually also good for your skin. Follow these dermatology skin care tips, and you will enjoy healthy, younger looking skin and better overall health.

Tip #1 You Need to Cleanse Your Face Daily

A daily facial cleansing is not just for acne-prone teenagers. Everyone needs to wash their face at least once a day, preferably twice; this includes adults. Washing your face helps to remove dead skin cells, oil buildup, dirt, and environmental pollutants.

Use a gentle cleanser when washing your face. Water alone is not enough, but you also don’t want to irritate your skin. If you need recommendations, the dermatology experts at Front Range Dermatology in Fort Collins, CO are an excellent resource.

Tip #2 Always Use Sunscreen

You almost certainly know that sunscreen dramatically reduces your risk of certain types of skin cancer. But did you know that sunscreen isn’t just for the summer? Wearing sunscreen whenever you are outdoors is the best practice to protect your skin not only from skin cancer but also from premature aging. This guidance is as true in the winter months as it is at the beach.

Talk to your dermatology professional at Front Range Dermatology or sunscreen brand and SPF recommendations.

Tip #3 Stay Hydrated

Your skin needs to stay moist to be healthy. So how can you accomplish this? The best way to hydrate your skin is from the inside out. In other words, drink plenty of water throughout the day and even more when you are physically active or outside in the heat.

It is a tenet of dermatology that what goes into your body affects your skin. So you should avoid too many dehydrating beverages like alcohol and caffeinated drinks.

Tip #4 Protect Dry Skin

For some people, drinking adequate amounts of water just is not enough to resolve their dry skin. If this is the case for you, be certain to use protective and hydrating lotion. Chapped and dry skin can lead to irritation, inflammation, and even infection. A lotion that locks in moisture can help make a big improvement in your skin condition.

Tip #5 You are What You Eat

Your dietary nutrition is vital to your skin’s health. You should make sure to eat a variety of vegetables and fruits so that you get sufficient vitamins and minerals. Supplements may be necessary in some cases. Speak with your dermatology provider to learn more.

Tip #6 No, Really – You are What You Eat

Good nutrition also means avoiding substances that are bad for you. Sugar, in any form, is a major culprit. The FDA has recently recommended that no more than 10% of your calories should be derived from sugar. This guideline is important for a variety of your body systems, including your skin. Excess sugar is bad for your dermatology health and can cause breakouts and other problems.

Tip #7 See Your Dermatology Provider Once a Year

You visit your dentist twice a year. You get a physical exam from your primary care provider once a year. Do you visit your dermatology doctor regularly? You should, even if you do not have obvious dermatology issues. Seeing your dermatology professional once a year provides the opportunity for skin checks to ensure you have no signs of skin cancer or other skin problems.

Tip #8 Address Suspicious Skin Growths

You should not wait for your annual dermatology exam if you notice a new mole or other skin growth. Any new, enlarging, or otherwise changing skin features need to be investigated by your dermatology doctor right away.

Tip #9 Avoid Caking On the Makeup

The judicious use of makeup, even daily, is fine. However, applying thick foundations and other cosmetics can clog your pores, inflame your skin, and cause breakouts. When it comes to wearing makeup, less is more.

Tip #10 Thoroughly Remove Your Makeup Before Bed

Washing with regular soap and water is not sufficient to remove your makeup each evening. Instead, use a specialized makeup-remover and then wash with soap. Finish up by rinsing thoroughly with water.
