I am the kid with the dog & pole in the right front of the yard.

My great-uncle was a master builder & sculptor who lived with his sister in this home on Tigertail Avenue in Coral Gables, Florida. They lived there as man & wife, together throughout their long lives. They were very kind to me, & I love them dearly to this day. Fresh, cold lemonade on the big, amply furnished screen porch, & sweet mangoes plucked from the old tree next to it.

The photo is of a realtor's advertisement. Great-uncle served in the Spanish-American War & had some veteran's medical benefits. In 1950, ill with cancer, he threw himself from a 3rd story window in a veteran's hospital, dying instantly on the ground. His sister/wife died in 1952, & my grandfather (their elder brother) then 87 years old, flew across the country & sold this house & all of its goods, including the statues in the yard.

No matter the hot & damp Miami weather, my great-uncle wore a huge, black, wide brimmed hat cocked at a rakish angle, & a full length, red silk lined black cape, complete with the glossy black, silver tipped cane that was ever in his hand.

White Tip Shark at Marsa Alam

in a closed junk yard where hundreds of kids and their families live to survive. picking up remaining scraps and barely getting what they deserve to eat. it is a horrible situation. so when sarah and i first heard about this, we decided to follow a man on a mission to help them as much as he could. we and a group of others went to the tip in the back of a truck, loaded with bread rolls and fruits we had bought from the market, to lend a hand and to help distribute. as we arrived they came running by the dozens. we started handing the food out to children of all ages and woman ranging from old to pregnant. it was a small gesture for our part, but an experience i will never ever forget. these are a few shots i took at the junk yard..

Cutting newborn nails, especially a newborn, may scare you, especially if this is your first experience.

However, you should keep cutting it out because even though the baby's nails look soft, the fingernails can still hurt him and others.

The baby has not been able to control his movements properly. Therefore, it is important to keep the nails short to avoid scratching and injuring oneself.

Especially when your child has started to interact with friends who his age. Newborn nails can injure his friend unintentionally.

Cut the baby's nails should be careful because if wrong or miss, which is even our baby's nails are injured. For that here are tips for cutting the baby's nails safely

The best time to cut your nails

Given the uncontrolled movement of the baby, it is advisable to cut his nails when he is fast asleep. Or it could be after bathing because in this condition the nails are softer.

If you decide to do so when you wake up, you can ask someone for help holding and keeping your baby so that you do not move much when you cut his nails.

Choose the right nail clippers

If your baby is a few weeks old, it is advisable to cut his nails using only nail carvers. At that age, the baby's nails are still very soft.

If you wear nail clippers, it is feared you can hurt his finger, especially for those of you who are not used to doing it. Wearing a nail cutter for baby is the safest method.

You can also tidy up using baby nail clippers. This type of scissors has a blunt, not as sharp tip as your usual nail clippers.

Determine the position

Make sure you get a comfortable position that can reach his hand.

Maybe you can put your little one in your lap.

Also, make sure the room stays bright, so you can see the boundary between the fingernails and the skin of his finger clearly.

Nail cutting technique baby

Fang the finger you want to cut out. Press the tip of the skin of your little finger to make it easier for you to cut his nails.

If you see there are still a few nails left but are afraid to cut them out, you can take advantage of the nail mind.

Tidy the fingernails of the child's hands follow the original grooves of his nails. As for the toenails, you can cut it straight.

If you do not intentionally injure the tip of his finger

If this happens, you do not need to panic or feel guilty. Immediately clean the wound with cold water, then dress with a tissue and apply some pressure to the wound. Usually, within minutes the bleeding will stop.

Avoid putting the plaster on the wound, because he still put his finger into the mouth, which then this can make your baby choking.

Given the rapid growth of baby's nails, you are advised to cut your nails at least once a week. For toenails, growth is slower. So you may be able to cut it out twice a month. more info @ www.babygifa.com

First things first, hat tip to Yuki for absolutely ROCKING this body. Yes, she is standing without any supports.

Anyway, I have bought some new bodies in the Platinum Silicon vein for a simple reason: Find a possible replacement for my Kasumi figures.

Don't get me wrong, the TBL S07C has been a champ and I have had no issues with cracking, splitting or failure, unless my dumb self has caused it on accident, over the 6 years I have been in this hobby. But, despite my best attempts with boots and stands, the S07C does not stand on its own floppy feet without some support. So looking around to mitigate that, among some other aesthetic issues, has brought me here.

I have then a total of three complaints with this body.

1. The skin feel. It acts like TPE in that a few outfit changes needs some baby powder. The body does not seem to get as silky smooth with baby powder as TBLs do. Minor, but a let down considering Platinum Silicon is marketed with easy outfits as a plus.

2. The articulation, namely the smoothness of the joints. Not yet to TBL levels of fluidity. Doesn't detract, but could be disconcerting to those who don't own 30+ seamless bodies like many of us do.

3. This one is personally an "issue" but isn't an issue otherwise: If this body had the same bust size as the VCD03 (review coming shortly after she arrives this coming week), then I probably found my replacement Kasumi body. It is a great mix of fit and curvy, but it doesn't quite do what I want as I like being as accurate to game measurements as possible. The TBL S07C nails the BWH, this VCD05 missed by about 10mm in bust. To quote Dir. Krennic "We were on the verge of greatness, we were this close."

This is VERY worth picking up for the $85 or so on Giantoy. Also, no issues with the lovely tariffs if here in the USA when ordering with Giantoy.

This action shot, taken with the 70-300mm G, was taken as part of a series of photos I took of friends, as they sledged down a small hill, whilst on holiday.

It was a good chance to try the 70-300mm lens with action shots, as the subject approached. This image is not perfect, in that is it not particularly sharp, but it captures what I was going for.

This musical phenomenon comes to Theatr Clwyd for the first time thanks to Tip Top Productions.

Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber based on Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot. “Prologue – Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats” additional material written by Trevor Nunn and Richard Stilgoe; ”Memory” additional material written by Trevor Nunn.

The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year—the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one they tell their stories to Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. Among the candidates are the aging theatre cat, Gus; the rocker, Rum Tum Tugger; and the once-glamorous Grizabella, now but a faded memory of her former self.

Boasting a score that includes Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats, Mr. Mistoffelees and Memory, this compelling fable takes audiences to a fantastical world that can only exist in the theatre. Cats has been performed worldwide and translated into over 20 languages. The original West End production ran for 21 years and the original Broadway production ran for 18 years
