Thrift store find. This tiny hand carved songbird has found a temporary perch on our cypress wood bird feeder.

The house we're renting has been vacant for about two years. Prior to that, the owner grew tomatoes in the garden out back. This image gives no size perspective, but it's a tiny "volunteer" tomato plant -- one that grew up on its own. The whole plant is less than six inches tall. I can't wait to see what type of fruit develops from the yellow flower!

My eldest granddaughter was awe struck at seeing the tiny toes of her new little cousin. She had to take her socks off and examine her toes ....

I think she was secretly looking to see she had nailpolish on them :-)

Processed in Lightroom 3, used MCP Black and White fusion actions to convert it to Black and White in Photoshop CS4 and then added Kim Klassen's grunge layer over top.

I really wish I knew what I was doing in photoshop :-) That will be my next course at the college I think.

My youngest, aged 10, loves looking under rocks at low tide. We thought these snails were gorgeous ... they were only a few mm long.
