Sunsets are occurring earlier, making it easier for me to time. I didn't wait around for the perfect timing, I liked how the sky looked at the time. I will look for more sunsets to photograph in the upcoming weeks.

Timing Marks by Heather & Paul

There is a group of three marks, white/red/white, and then a white mark to the right of the three. The mark standing by itself is mechanical TDC for cylinder #1. The other marks are for setting BTDC (14/16/18 degrees, IIRC).

 

There are "male/female" timing bosses on the timing belt cover. They look like a ^ and a |\/|. Like sighting a gun, look down and line those up with the mechanical TDC mark on the crank pulley.
