The Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) is a large sparrow of the corvidae family. It is a pretty bird with plumage adorned with bright colors, rather discreet and shy. The Eurasian Jay is widespread in France. Very fond of oak acorns which it stores abundantly in autumn, the Eurasian Jay helps promote the expansion of this tree thanks to the many hidden acorns that it does not eat and which end up germinating and giving new shoots.

Yesterday we met our friends and their dog Gina. Due to Covid we didn´t meet for a long time, so we saw Gina for the first time now. Gina is a dog from Romania, a lovely dog indeed. She now lives with our friends for more than one year. She came with her littermates to Germany by a animal rescue organisation, before they lived as puppies on the streets. In the beginning she was timide and afraid and she hated to drive in a car, but now she settled in very well. When we came she was a little afraid of us, barked very loudly but we gave her treats and so she liked us in a short time:-)
Gestern haben wir nach einer langen Covid-Pause Freunde besucht und deren Hund Gina kennegelernt. Gina ist zusammen mit ihren Wurfgeschwistern vom Tierschutz aus Rumänien geholt worden, dort hatten die jungen Hunde auf der Strasse gelebt. Anfangs war sie wohl recht ängstlich, mochte auch nicht Auto fahren, aber inzwischen hat sie sich gut eingelebt. Als wir zur Tür reinkamen, hat sie erstmal laut gebellt und war gleichzeitig etwas ängstlich, aber durch die mitgebrachten Leckerlis haben wir schnell ihr Herz erobert:-)

This species is endemic to the island of Luzon, Philippines. It has a local name of puñalada.
Three subspecies are known. Gallicolumba luzonica luzonica is found on the central and southern parts of the large island of Luzon, and the neighbouring small Polillo Islands. The subspecies of Gallicolumba luzonica griseolateralis is found on the Northern part of Luzon while Gallicolumba luzonica rubiventris is found exclusively on Catanduanes Island. Gallicolumba luzonica rubiventris or known as Catanduanes bleeding-heart has only single collected specimen in 1971; this subspecies is very rare as it is believed to be near extinction or already extinct.
It lives in primary or secondary forest, and can be found at altitudes varying from sea level up to 1400 metres. They eat seeds, berries and grubs. They are shy and secretive, and very quiet, and rarely leave the ground except when nesting. Unlike the other bleeding-hearts, they usually lay two eggs in each clutch.
Cette espèce est endémique de l'île de Luzon, aux Philippines. Puñalada est son nom local.
Trois sous-espèces sont connues. Gallicolumba luzonica luzonica qui se trouve sur les parties centrale et méridionale de la grande île de Luzon et les petites îles Polillo voisines.
La sous-espèce de Gallicolumba luzonica griseolateralis se trouve sur la partie nord de Luzon tandis que Gallicolumba luzonica rubiventris se trouve exclusivement sur l'île de Catanduanes.
Gallicolumba luzonica rubiventris ou connue sous le nom de cœur saignant de Catanduanes n'a été représenté que par un seul spécimen recueilli en 1971; Cette sous-espèce est très rare; on l'estime proche de l'extinction ou déjà éteinte.
Cette colombe vit dans une forêt primaire ou secondaire et peut être trouvée à des altitudes variant du niveau de la mer jusqu'à 1400 mètres. Elle mange des graines, des baies et des larves. Elle est timide, secrète, et très silencieuse, et quitte rarement le sol sauf lorsqu'elle niche. Elle pond habituellement deux œufs.
Visite à nos amis du refuge "Au Bonheur Des Chats" à Lesges du 19 août dernier, il porte toujours aussi bien son nom 😻 !

Il était une fois, une forêt enchantée, dans laquelle les créatures humaines déposaient leurs rêves et rêvaient des couleurs sous la forme de parapluies.

Les nuits longues et froides à t’espérer, toi la fille du nord, mais tu sais te faire attendre, pour apparaître vêtue de ta robe lumineuse. Alors tu commences une douce danse langoureuse. La nuit éclaire subtilement mon visage, pour mieux y distinguer mon sourire. Tu fais émerger la joie et l'excitation. Puis tu disparais de façon impromptue, ai je fauté, ne t'ai je point méritée?
Puis te revoilà timide avançant discrètement, je t'espère flamboyante, tu es réservée et discrète.
Puis tu commences tes premiers pas de danse, je te suis du regard, désirant que tu t'approches, prêt à te prendre, mais non, un nuage obscurcit ta lumière, puis tu t'évapores.
D'autres nuits noires et froides se succèdent, sans un signe. Je ne me décourage pas, chaque soir je me rends à un point de rendez-vous hypothétique, pour t'attendre. Alors à force de patience, le grand soir arrive! Nous sommes connectés, le ciel est sans nuage, mes pensées pures, des étoiles dans les yeux.
Tu danses, tu t'abandonnes à moi, puis tu t’emballes dans des volutes enivrantes. Tu es toute proche je te capture, pour te coucher sur le papier. Tu entres en transe, vibres puis exploses.
Le souvenir restera impérissable, quel pied!
